My Name is Seth Thompson

Hello there, my name is Seth Thompson and welcome to my blog. I am going to do this blog to help keep those who I love updated on what is going on in my life as I serve in Jamaica this next month. Missions has been a big part of my life, and it is a passion i feel called to pursue. I have been so blessed to visit and work with the people of Jamaica, and look forward to seeing what God has in store for the island of Jamaica and this boy from the south. Please feel free to join me on this journey through this blog as I walk this road God has called me too. Thanks for all your prayer and support.

Empty House Again!!!

I just saw the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene team off from Jamaica.  They seemed to have a very good time and I truly enjoyed them being here.  It was nice to be with family.  The house is empty once again, and will remain that way for the rest of my trip.  Dr. McCloy will be coming down in about 5 days, and I am looking forward to getting to visit with him and talk some business.

Yesterday, we went to the beach (it never gets old).  We set up shop at Travelers, and played a nice game of ultimate frisbee in the sea (very solid work out trying to run in the water).  We then went shopping, and I finally got to see my friend at the market named Jeff (I usually buy most of my stuff from him).  We talked for a bit and caught up on life.  After the craft market, we went and did more shopping at a little mini mall place called Times Square and then proceeded to Rick's Cafe (check out the website if you would like more information on Rick's).  Several of the guys jumped from the cliffs, and no one got hurt (thank goodness).  After we got done jumping (well I actually did not jump), we went and had dinner at the restaurant.  There was live music playing, a cool breeze, and an amazing sunset.  After the sun went down, the starts came out and were amazing.  It was a glorious way to end the day.

Today, I am going to take it pretty easy.  I am a little burnt from yesterday, and I will probably relax a little bit and try to get my feet back underneath me.  I look forward to getting back to work though tomorrow. Sister Brown (Pastor Brown's wife) asked me if I would like to speak on Sunday morning at Burnt Savannah Church of the Nazarene.  I told her I would be willing to if she needed me.  She says that it is a NMI (missions) service, and sees it as fitting that I would speak.  She is going to ask Pastor if that is alright though, so we shall see.  Please be praying for me if this does happen, as this will be my first time to preach here in Jamaica.

Well, I am going to wrap up for now.  Hopefully I will have another video coming soon.  Keep living the life God has called us to life and God Bless!!!!!
